Sharla and I left home at 9:20 this morning (dangerously close to our planned time of 9:00!), and we made it to Medford safe and sound by 2:10.  Sharla’s District interview was at 2:30, so we had plenty of leeway.  The trip down was uneventful, with lots of clouds, drizzle, and even a little snow on the sides of the road south of Roseburg.

After the interview, we spend the afternoon and evening with Wes and Marj Wornell, the pastors of Medford Life Path Church of the Nazarene (formerly South Medford). We had a great time, with a very good visit, covering lots of topics.  We went to dinner at Olive Garden (I had the Spicy Shrimp Vesuvio – very spicy, very tasty, very wonderful!), and ended up at their house.  We are spending the night here, and will hit the road about 7:30 or 8 for the 12-13 hour drive down to Victorville, California, where my mom and uncle Chuck live.

Keep praying for safe travel – we have a pass to get over tomorrow, although I have heard that the weather is supposed to be wonderful!
